I am a victim of white Berber and have been at battle
with it since moving into my house just two years ago. I've rented
carpet cleaners and utilized alternative chemical cleaning services, but
each time I was increasingly disappointed at the inability to get my
tenacious Berber back to white. It was with great trepidation that I
called IES. The usual defenses went up (how much, this really won't make
a difference, etc.)
The same night I called Mr. Murphy, he came over to do a
quote. Already I sensed a difference between IES and other businesses
just in talking to him over the phone. This guy cared about his business
and it showed, even over the phone.
My career and education are in business process
management and as such, I'm a stickler for noticing the details. The
first thing impressive thing about IES, was the cleanliness of his
truck. Mr. Murphy was extremely articulate and polite. He was even
courteous enough to ask if he should remove his boots before coming in!
Silly things!? I think not, remember, I'm being held hostage by my white
carpet!
It got better from there. Not only was Mr. Murphy
knowledgeable about his work, he presented his quotes without the
slightest iota of pressure. He did not try to oversell me on stain
treatments or threaten me with the immanent doom of my carpet if I
didn't buy all the right cleaning services. It was amazing, my jaw was
on the floor. But the biggest test was yet to come...
Many weeks after I'd actually intended to have IES clean
my carpets, I called Mr. Murphy. Okay, truth be told, I called him with
5 whole days notice to get my carpets cleaned before I was to entertain
a bridal shower. He not only fit me in, but it was on a Saturday
and it was after he'd completed other jobs that day.
I sat like a giddy school child and gawked while he
transformed the bottom floor of my house. It was incredible. I've never
seen anything like it. My Berber was white again. And get this, he did
such an amazing job that my husband even noticed. Now that is a
miracle in itself. Because of the equipment that IES uses, my carpets
were dry in half the time of conventional equipment.
I expected to pay twice the amount that other carpet
cleaners had charged me for the level of service I received, but I found
Mr. Murphy's rates to be extremely competitive. I was so amazed by Mr.
Murphy's business candor, hard work, and fair prices that I will never
let another man touch my carpets and THAT'S THE TRUTH!
